Destination Spotlight – Sydney

Sydney is one of the most celebrated cities in the world, and it doesn’t need a long introduction. The Opera House, the Sydney Harbor Bridge, and its iconic beaches like Bondi Beach are printed on countless postcards and travel brochures.

These three major Sydney attractions are very close to each other and perfectly walkable. Wherever you start, you’ll be able to enjoy all three landmarks in the matter of a few hours.

The Royal Botanic Garden

The Botanic Garden is a beautiful oasis in the heart of Sydney. Whether you have a green thumb, look for a scenic picnic spot, or just strive for some peace and quiet, you’ll find yourself in home in the Botanic Garden’s gorgeous settings. Wander aimlessly at your own pace or take a walk with volunteer guides that tell you about the park’s flora and history – it’s entirely up to you.

Hyde Park Barracks

Hyde Park Barracks is a UNESCO World’s Heritage site located just minutes away from the Botanic Garden. The Hyde Park Barracks were originally built in 1819 for convicts being shipped by Britain to Australia after America won the War of Independence in 1783 and refused to accept more. Today the Barracks is one of the most significant of Australia’s historic and architectural treasures.

Taste of Sydney

Taste of Sydney is a unique culinary festival that, according to its organizers, blends “food, culture and music.” Diners Club is the preferred card partner at Taste and accepted by all restaurants and participating bars and exhibitors at the festival. You can find tickets, here.

Don’t miss the unique opportunity to enjoy this event to its fullest, and remember to visit Diners Club Privileges to plan your fabulous Australia trip!
