WHAT TO SEE

Needle and Button Sculpture

In the heart of the Garment District, the Needle and Button sculpture pays homage to the history of manufacturing in the city and is an information kiosk. As a bonus, only yards away, you’ll also be able to see Judith Weller’s world-famous sculpture, “The Garment Worker.”

7th Avenue Architecture

Stroll along 7th Avenue, tilt your head back, and absorb the elegant architecture. From spare hotels that were originally intended for garment workers to ornate lofts, many of the buildings were erected more than a century ago to accommodate the booming garment industry.

Fashion Walk of Fame

While there’s a lot to see above you on 7th Avenue, be sure to look down when you reach the Fashion Walk of Fame. Peruse the bronze plaques embedded in the sidewalk and read about the industry’s most influential players.
