Diners Club® Croatia hosts 2024 EU Advent in Zagreb

For five weeks this past holiday season, Diners Club® Croatia sponsored the 2024 EU Advent Festival, an award-winning Christmas market full of holiday sights, sounds, and tastes at the European Square in the City of Zagreb, Croatia’s capital.

Officially opening on 30th November 2024 and running through 7th January 2025, EU Advent featured 28 merchant “houses” selling hand-made crafts and local delicacies to over 240,000 visitors attending from around the world. All Diners Club Members enjoyed a 10% discount on festival purchases made with their Diners Club and Discover® Cards.

Promoting the Diners Club Together For Change corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, every Thursday Diners Club Croatia hosted the Diners Club Cooking show ‘Taste, donate and enjoy!” featuring 8 chefs and 10 celebrities preparing traditional dishes with all proceeds raised going to Society “Our Children” Zabok, a non-profit and voluntary association that designs and implements programs for preschool and primary school children.

Overall, Diners Club Croatia donated the funds raised at the Diners Club Cooking Show, along with an additional 7,000 EUR to the “Our Children” Zabok Association for the construction of the PIK-PAK children's home, an inclusive and safe place for the children of Hrvatsko Zagorje.
